How to become a ZED MIBA Forum Member?

If your Airline ...

  • is operating scheduled air passenger transportation services available for ZED/MIBA use
  • is able to accept ID tickets in accordance with this agreement and the ZED and/or MIBA agreements
  • is able to issue and/or authorize another ZMF member to issue on your behalf, ID tickets in accordance with this agreement and the ZED and/or MIBA agreements
  • is able to communicate via an official (corporate) email address
  • is publishing its scheduled air passenger transportation services and availability in all major GDSs, e.g Amadeus, Sabre, Worldspan, Gabriel, Galileo

... then you may apply for membership.

Step one: Applying for Membership

  1. Contact the Member Service Centre (MSC) at to obtain information on joining.
  2. Read the ZED-MIBA Forum agreement and especially the Membership criteria. Interested Airlines should get familiar with the ZED and MIBA Agreements and their Appendices
  3. Complete the Application Form and e-mail to the MSC. Assign one employee as Authorized Representative in ZED-MIBA Forum (AR) on the application Form. This person must be authorized to act in the name of and on behalf of the airline, will be the one in contact with MSC and other members and attending the Annual Meetings.
  4. Send two originals of ZED-MIBA Forum Signature page to the MSC
  5. MSC will then forward an INVOICE comprising the joining fee, the annual administration fee and any other fee decided by the Members at latest Annual General Meeting or by an on-line vote. See information on “Membership joining fee 2008”.
  6. As soon as confirmation from ZED-MIBA Forum Bank is received that the full payment has been credited the bank account, the Interested Airline will be declared an Applicant and MSC will inform all current members that the ZED-MIBA FORUM has a new Applicant and encourage them to make bilateral agreements with the Applicant

Step two: Being an Applicant

  1. The Applicant will get a login and a password to the member section of the website where the Member Contact List is found.
  2. The Applicant should apply the Agreements and their Appendices, the website self-service applications, the membership rules and special obligations voted by members.
  3. The Applicant is encouraged to contact current members for concurrences to make the applicant period as short as possible.
  4. When the first concurrence for ZED and/or MIBA is signed, MSC has to be informed.
  5. Your airline has now become a Member of ZED-MIBA Forum, with participation in ZED and/or MIBA and other members will be informed.

Step three: Being a Member

  1. New and current members shall continue to contact each other to propose bilateral concurrences for ZED and/or MIBA. Concurrences have to be reported under “my account” section on the website. To be able to vote, the member must also update the airline’s ASKs for its last financial period here.
  2. Be an active member! Attend the Annual General Meetings and influence the future of ID travel by taking part in ZMF Working groups and Task Forces.
  3. Use the Survey tool on the website to find out information from other member airlines on different issues. Request a new survey if your subject is not already covered.
  4. Influence the industry by using your voting rights!
